It would be so much easier if they were all in one place where I could also put an image in there (say a screenshot of that folder) and be able to "show in Explorer from LR whenever I want to see or visit them. Almost always I'm left without my own brushes, actions, workspaces and on and on. They check my system and say it meets the requirements then spend literally hours picking away at registry entries, reverting to earlier versions and tweaking God knows what then finally reverting back to the latest. Features I see demonstrated all over the web don't work for me so I get Tech Support to try and help.

To me that would be so much simpler since with nearly every upgrade to LR I end up losing develop presets. I'm even thinking of putting one photo in each such folder so I could have that folder appear in Lightroom and right click on that photo and "show in explorer" whenever desired. My Lightroom and Photoshop crash so often I know I'll be spending time with them and boy would having everything in one easy to find place. That way I'd always be able to find them no matter how many different Adobe Techs move them around. Similarly my own export presets to Pictures\Adobe\Lightroom\Export Presets. Could I locate all my own Develop Presets and put them in: They will also now be available in Photoshop ACR if you want to use your presets & profiles there.Thanks for that info. That’s it! Once you have added the ZIP file, it will automatically extract the presets into the Develop module for you. If your browser has extracted the folder automatically from the zip (Safari on Mac does this), you may need to right-click and recompress it into a ZIP, or download the file with a different browser.

Some browsers will automatically uncompress this ZIP file, but it needs to be a ZIP to install correctly. Please note, this needs to be the original ZIP file. In the import dialog that appears, select the downloaded ZIP file. Also gone is the ability of Lightroom to reflect any changes you make directly in the Presets folder. It’s now only possible to rename or delete a Group (that’s the new name for a Preset Folder). At the top of the Presets panel, click the 3-dot icon and select.
